Ibiza 2012

Hello,

So once again I have yet more travel pictures to share. This year was the first real time I went abroad without any real adult supervision, despite the fact I am 18 (meaning I'm now considered an adult in the UK). I went with my friend Joanne and we stayed in the Fiesta Hotel Milord in San Antonio Bay, Ibiza. This was one of my favourite ever holidays and I still can't decide if it's because I was allowed to do whatever I wanted, whenever I liked or if it was simply the Ibiza life and all the parties and sun! It is well known that Ibiza is the party island of the world and it really is! There was always things to do both in the hotel during the day and night as well as the island. We decided to stay in the bay which is not the main party bit thats San Antonio because after reading lots of reviews from guests who did, it freaked us out that we could potentially get robbed. We talked to people from other hotels in San Antonio and they couldn't believe how nice our hotel was! They were even shocked we liked our food! We also wanted a place where we could sleep easily and chill during the day which is exactly what we got at the Milord.Yet, it is not too far away from the party scene it's so easy to get to the clubs and there are a few bars nearby the hotel which are actually quite good and reasonable. We really liked Peppers 2. There were also some good shops within easy walking distance, just around the corner and they sold the usual holiday gifts like keyrings, towels and t shirts etc. The Water Taxi was also great even though we only used it once. We now regret not using more! It was 2.50 and much cheaper than a taxi. The only thing is you would need to plan when you want to use it as it comes every hour. However, it isn't hard to get a taxi if you flag it down on the street.

There are a lot of tips to share when going to Ibiza, it does help if you research a little especially where your hotel is in relation to the clubs. Also I think the Milord is suitable for families but I'm not sure about hotels in San Antonio which will obviously be a lot more noisy. We experienced no noise in our room despite it being opposite the lift. Although we weren't in the hotel room very much to be fair.

Overall, Ibiza is crazy there is no denying it but it was absolutely amazing! I fully recommend Ibiza if you like to socialise and experience partying on a whole different level. In my opinion, the highlights were the hotel, the West End Strip, David Guetta and Calvin Harris. The only downside is that pretty much everything is very expensive so you will need to take lots of spending money. Our Hotel was All Inclusive and I still needed way more money than I unfortunately took with me. So we couldn't go to many clubs with the big stars. A good tip is if you decide to go All Inclusive then unless you are going to one of the clubs that starts early then you should stay at your hotel till midnight with the all inclusive drinks and then go down to West End which is what we did on the days we weren't going to events. It was better value and the Milord's Hotel entertainment was actually really, really good compared to other Hotels I have seen. I laughed a great deal! I can't recommend enough the Milord and Ibiza! we saw plenty of people all different ages and it's perfect for the sun and to have fun! (I did not want that to rhyme and cannot think of anything else)

So enjoy my photos!
