I NEED this!

Hi

Okay, Lady Gaga has released a perfume! OMG! I adore Lady Gaga and find her music sensational. I was so excited when the rumours began in 2010 about her possibly creating a perfume! Even if you aren't a fan of Gaga's she still has had a huge impact on the world. She is incredbily influential and everything she seems to do is a massive hit. This is why I was beyond excited for this perfume, I knew it had to be different and fun because its Gaga and nothing she does is done just average. It has to be perfect and fabulous!

I haven't had a chance to smell the perfume yet, all the department stores near me are out of town so I'm trying to find a chance to go. Hopefully next week, so I'll be sure to blog about it the second I get home!
The perfume is called Fame and when I finally own it, I'll do a big analysis over why she named it that etc etc. Theres always symbolic reasons behind Gaga's work which is another aspect I love about her. There is always so much thought put into everything she does. Every detail is considered so important and crucial which I feel makes her such a good role model. (I mean the commitment, time and effort she does is a good role model, not neccessarily all the other 'unique' and 'crazy' stuff).
The perfume is meant to be one of a kind. She has apparantly based it on the molecules of blood and semen which is meant to use this "push-pull technology", instead of the usual pyramidal structure, (most if not all perfumes use this) with the purpose to highlight the notes of Atropa belladonna, Tiger Orchid, incense, apricot, saffron, and honey. Despite this, interesting approach to perfume creating, I've heard it smells absolutely divine. It's also meant to change throughout the day whilst you wear it. It is the first black coloured perfume which when sprayed becomes clear and is invisible once airborn. It seems to be extremely different and extraordinary which is exactly what I expected from Gaga :)
All in all I'm just itching to try this! Hopefully I'll have a more in depth review in the near future. Go out and get it! Even if you aren't a fan of Gaga its meant to be magical.

Love

Wish List 2012

Hey Everyone!

I'm just gonna go straight to the point and show my wish list. I love things and basically this is the stuff I wish/hope to purchase.

MAKEUP WISE

I love foundation and really think this one will work for me! It's the Chanel Pro Lumiere. I'd probs purchase the second lightest shade.

I feel this is worth a try. After reading many reviews on it, it seems to be just what I want to add more colour to my cheeks. It's the Soleil Tan De Chanel.

These Real Techniques Makeup brushes are meant to be absolutely flawless. I was in my local Boots yesterday which isn't very big and they had them! I can't wait to see if they really are worth all of the hype. I love Pixiwoo (Samantha Chapman one of the sisters created them) and I kinda trust them so much more than other brands just because they seem like genuine women. Anyways go check them out or order online!
For some actual unknown reason I never got round to purchasing the second naked pallette. I currently own the first one and pretty much use it everyday. It's amazing! The colours are perfect for any skin tone. My favourite thing is the fact it is so simple to use and because most of the colours go and compliment each other really nicely there is hardly any brain work required! Getting ready just got much faster! At least it did for me :) I use the naked pallette for my work look especially and I love it. My favourite eyeshadow colour was always green and for the longest time, like 3 or 4 years! But I've grown up a lot since then and literally adore a neutral look it's classic but still totally effective.
The Revlon lip butters have gotten so much praise that I'm dying to try one or all! They were pretty much the 'it' product to purchase this summer I reckon. I'm hoping to try the orangey one because I'm really into orange right now. Orange nails, lips and outfits! I think maybe it's because I'm more tan than usual as orange doesn't always look great when you are whiter than the clouds!

NAIL POLISH WISE
This shade is so unbelievably pretty! It's models own indian ocean and to be truthfully honest, I think I'm in love. I don't think I really need to say much more as you can see for yourself how pretty and cute that shade is! Ooo and in England they are reasonably priced :)

FASHION WISE

This one is so cute and I love anything with studs. I had a studded bag last year for college which I adored. The only problem was that it was gigantic and painful. (by painful I mean that it scratched me every SINGLE day and my poor friends) I've tried to find a picture but I couldn't sorry!

also this bag

I think it would be perfect for when I go back to my studies. It's a Mulberry Alexa.

TOMS! If you don't know the info behind these shoes then you must check them out. Here's the website http://www.toms.co.uk This is the motto of the company : One for One isn't that so wonderfully amazing? We should have more people and companies like TOMS. Anyway these are VERY popular. I see all ages rocking a pair. They are very comfy and I want more haha. They are so simple and the material is great for comfort.
I'm so desparate for a pair of creepers. I've been a fan for a few years now, my little sister even has a pair! I'm so jealous haha. They are really cool in my opinion and can add an instant statement to any outfit. Also purchasing a black pair means they will go with everything :) Another side note, I'm tiny! I am 5 ft and really need the height and creepers seem like a great alternative as they are not heels or wedges so I can wear them all year round. I live in rainy England so high shoes that are closed but still casual and effortlessly cool are a godsend! I'm also right now whilst staring at the picture above falling in love with the pink ones!

BEAUTY WISE

My friend, Joanne recently brought this holy grail product to my attention again. This is perfect to use straight out of the shower/bath to lock in valuable moisture. A great tip is to use this for shaving, it glides on smoothly so you get more use of your shavers as they won't be worn down as quickly. It will soothe your skin if you happen to cut it accidently. Also, I sometimes use this to remove my makeup especially around my eye area, it is so gentle as remember it is meant for delicate babies :) Fun fact I'm pretty sure I read somewhere (it was a long time ago though so She might have changed her mind) that Gwyneth Paltrow uses it too!

Anyway this wish list was intended to be short but I should have known that I am incapable of not blabbing on. Hope this was interesting or helpful to read. Thanks for stopping by.
Enjoy!

Nail Polish Faves

Hi!

At the moment I am absolutely obsessed with nail polish. My nails have been every colour under the sun! My favourite polish is the Essie Mint Candy Apple it looks delicious :) It is a very bright shade and adds a unique twist to any outfit! One of the reasons I purchased it was because in Boots they have a a best seller section which they may have everywhere but it helped me choose the best shades.

Another that I'm loving is Essie Ballet Slippers. This shade is a really good neutral and I heard that it is the Queen of England's favourite shade which just adds much more sparkle to it! I think it's really cute and fun. The names of the Essie polishes are also such a funny aspect :)
I really wanted to buy the Nicki Minaj hot pink polish a couple of months ago but I was unable to find it anywhere. So I found this dupe by China Glaze which I think is lovely and so eyecatching. I always get lots of compliments on it whenever I wear it. I'm just a total girl sometimes and love pink, especially pink nails.

Another polish is the American Apparel in neon yellow. Neon is really in this season and if you are not quite brave enough to wear neon clothes then nails are a great alternative. I'm a big fan of the green and orange versions also.

Lastly, I think green nail polish is great. This is very strange for me because I always thought green nails would look disgusting but now I think they are the cutest! I love Revlon Minted it's very cute!  Despite this, I feel that all in all you can never go wrong with a good solid pillar box red.

The reason I think everyone loves a good nail polish is the fact they can pretty much be worn by anyone. They don't really have to match skin colour and can never really clash with makeup like lips or eyeshadow. It's like one of the easiest parts of beauty and getting ready in general. Even though we all worry about chipping, it's not as bad I think as streaky tan lines or mismatched makeup. I can get really stressed about my makeup and outfits but for me nails are simple and easy. I usually can get them right :)

Hope you try these out!
Enjoy

Vichy Dermablend Corrective Foundation Review

Hi!

Todays post will be a review, this foundation is a wonderful invention! I first heard about it when I was watching Juicytuesday's videos on youtube, (if you haven't watched her yet then go now! >http://www.youtube.com/user/juicytuesday ) She is my absolute favourite youtube guru because everything She says is perfect advice for me. Anyway back to the review, so my skin is currently teenage skin although it is getting better, I still get breakouts especially really bad hormonal ones and its just awful. I have been searching for the perfect foundation for years now. I started when I was fourteen and I still have yet to accomplish my goal. However, the Vichy Dermablend is incredibly close to becoming my number 1. It is fantastic coverage and evens out my skin tone easily. My skin is very red naturally so I need something that will cover up my redness or even it out. I have tried primers to help with this problem but the foundation is much better for that I have found. The Vichy Dermablend has SPF in it and it's designed for people with quite severe skin problems and conditions. I decided to try it last year so I think this review can be trusted as I have been wearing it for a long time since March 2011! When I went to Boots to get it I explained to the Lady and immediately She agreed with me about how good the foundation is. Normally, sales people often try to sway you towards other products but the fact She didn't even argue made me even more anxious to try it. It literally is like war paint, you need the tiniest amount. It covers everything so I often apply a darker powder over top just to add some more colour to my skin. When your face is all one colour it can look a bit washed out and unnatural so its good to add some what of a glow back into your cheeks. I recommend using some bronzer, a highlight and a kind of light pink blush. It looks good with the shade I use 15 Opal which is the palest as I am very, very pale.

To apply just squirt a teeny tiny amount on the back of your hand and dab it on your forehead, cheeks, nose and chin. Then blend! blend! blend!

For me, this foundation does last a long time as I wore it when I went to Paris and it stayed on all day and I never had to reapply. The only real problem I have with this foundation is the fact that when I wear to it work often I have breakouts from all of the heat. I think because this foundation is so thick that I guess it could quite easily block pores more than other foundations. This is the only foundation that I've had a problem with breakouts at work. Yet, that could just be my over sensitive skin so perhaps it's more suited for others. I still wear it quite frequently especially on nights out with my friends clubbing or when I know for sure there will be photographs at an event because it masks all of the imperfections and makes my skin look almost photoshopped in comparison.

Currently, I am now in search of a foundation just like the dermablend but one that I can wear at work and it not feel so thick on. Perhaps it would be a miracle to find a foundation that doesn't do that because of how thick it is. I must also urge you all to take into account that this foundation is made for people with scarring and other skin situations so it's meant to be thick as it is a corrective foundation. Another tip is to use this as a concealer, I haven't really looked into any other Vichy products other than the skincare which is fabulous. There are other Vichy Foundations that might be better or more suited for other skin types but this is the most well known and popular from the research I have done.

To conclude, I fully recommend this foundation it's great for coverage and if you want full coverage then this is a definite winner. I also recommend Mac Studio Sculpt Foundation I use the shade NC15 which is paler than the dermablend. I will eventually do a review on that. I also feel that I should say that often I switch up my foundations and have several that I use regularly especially since the dermablend is sometimes too heavy for casual day wear or on a good skin day. I use lighter foundations such as the Rimmel Wake me up Foundation and the Loreal True Match. I think it's a good idea to frequently experiment and try new foundations. I also recommend having several from the drugstore and from more higher end brands. Often some are just as good as each other, yet I believe that you should spend the most money on your skin products so moisturiser and foundation, possibly primer if you use one. If you can afford it also you really should invest in a good eye cream or gel as the skin around your eyes is so sensitive and needs extra care and protection.

Hope you enjoyed this review, I haven't written for about 3 months since I left College so I'm a little rusty! haha but good luck with foundation and skin care! I really want everyone to try the Vichy Dermablend because despite the negative aspects of this review it most DEFINITELY is my favourite right now and the most reliable foundation for me.

Thanks for reading!
